Privacy

Privacy Policy.

This policy explains what information is collected when you visit this website, how it is used, and the rights you have. Lily Eale Peretz is responsible for the collection and processing of personal information described in this policy.

Scope

This policy applies to visitors of this website. Information you share in the course of a legal engagement is governed separately by attorney-client confidentiality and applicable professional duties. Sending an email or contacting us through the website does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship.

Information collected

We do not operate a contact form or account system on this site. We do not currently use advertising technologies or behavioural tracking tools and do not knowingly collect analytics information beyond what may be generated as part of the website infrastructure and hosting services. Information reaches us only when you choose to send it, or as a routine part of delivering a website:

  • Information you send by email — when you write to us using the email link on the contact page, we receive your message, your email address and anything you choose to include.
  • Technical data — our hosting provider receives standard request data such as IP address, browser type and timestamps. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
  • Language preference — a small entry in your browser's local storage (key: ‘lang’) remembers whether you chose English or Hebrew. It stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Confidential information

Please do not send confidential, privileged or time-sensitive information by email unless and until an attorney-client relationship has been established. Unsolicited information sent before such a relationship exists may not be treated as confidential to the fullest extent permitted by law.

How information is used and legal basis

Information is used to respond to inquiries, to operate and secure the site, and to comply with legal and professional obligations. For visitors in the EU/UK, the legal bases under the GDPR are our legitimate interest in operating the site (Art. 6(1)(f)) and, for inquiries, taking steps prior to entering into an engagement (Art. 6(1)(b)). Under the Israeli Protection of Privacy Law, information is processed for the purpose for which it was provided.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf (such as email and hosting infrastructure) and may be disclosed where required by law, court order or applicable professional duty.

Retention

Inquiries received by email are kept for as long as needed to respond and, where relevant, for the duration of an engagement and any period required by legal or professional record-keeping rules. Server logs held by our hosting provider are retained for a short period for security and operational purposes. Certain records may be retained for longer periods where required by applicable law, professional obligations, dispute resolution needs, or the protection of legal rights.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict processing, and request portability. EU/UK visitors also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Israel, you have the right to inspect and request correction of personal information about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. We use a single entry in your browser's local storage (key: ‘lang’) to remember your language choice. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

International transfers

Our hosting, email, or other service providers may process information in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, including jurisdictions that may have different data protection standards. Where this involves transfers from the EU/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date below indicates when it was last revised.
